After three straight defeats and an eight-match winless run, Juventus finally rediscovered their spark with a 3–1 victory over Udinese in interim coach Massimo Brambilla’s first match in charge.

Brambilla replaced Igor Tudor, who was dismissed earlier in the week, and could hardly have hoped for a better debut on the touchline. His side flew out of the blocks and were ahead inside three minutes. Dusan Vlahovic was brought down in the box by Saba Goglichidze, and the Serbian striker coolly converted the resulting penalty, sending Maduka Okoye the wrong way to give Juve an ideal start.

Juventus continued to press with intent and thought they had doubled their lead midway through the first half when Weston McKennie teed up Vlahovic to fire home. However, the celebrations were short-lived as the offside flag went up.

Udinese gradually settled and began to find some rhythm, but Okoye was the main reason they went into half-time on level terms. The Nigerian goalkeeper produced two excellent saves before the interval — first to deny Filip Kostic, then to keep out Vlahovic when the forward broke clear.

Those stops proved vital as Udinese snatched an equaliser just before the break. A chaotic scramble in the Juve box ended with Nicolo Zaniolo curling a loose ball into the bottom corner to make it 1–1 at half-time.

The second half saw Juventus regain control in terms of possession but struggle to create clear chances. Their best opening came from a set piece around the hour mark when McKennie’s header, deflected en route to goal, was brilliantly saved again by Okoye.

However, the Udinese keeper could do nothing about Juve’s second. From a recycled corner, Andrea Cambiaso’s delivery found Federico Gatti at the far post, and the defender rose highest to power home a header to restore the hosts’ advantage.

Juventus pressed for a third to kill the game off, and Kenan Yildiz came close twice — first forcing another save from Okoye and then rattling the post moments later. The 19-year-old eventually got his reward in stoppage time, converting from the penalty spot to seal a much-needed victory.

The result ends Juventus’ long winless run and reignites their push for European qualification, while Udinese, despite Okoye’s heroics, suffered just their third defeat of the Serie A campaign.
