Hibernians FC have completed the signing of experienced wingback Cain Attard, strengthening their squad ahead of the Closing Round of the Maltese Premier League.

The 31-year-old Maltese international defender joins the Paolites after parting ways with Sliema Wanderers earlier this week, bringing an end to his short but difficult spell with the Blues. Attard’s time at Sliema was heavily disrupted by a series of injuries that sidelined him for several months and prevented him from finding consistent form.

Hibernians confirmed the move in an official statement, welcoming the lateral defender to the club.
