Haley Bugeja reaches 100 senior appearances abroad

Malta international Haley Bugeja reached a major career milestone over the weekend, making her 100th senior appearance abroad. The 20-year-old forward came off the bench for Inter in their goalless draw against Parma in the Serie A Femminile.

Bugeja has now featured 89 times in Italian football, representing Sassuolo and Inter, and has scored 30 goals between the two clubs. Her achievements in Italy have solidified her reputation as one of Malta’s most successful football exports.

Beyond domestic competitions, Bugeja has also played six matches in UEFA tournaments with Inter, scoring four goals across the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup.

Her remaining five appearances came during her stint with Orlando Pride in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States, further enriching her international experience.

Reaching the 100-match mark is a significant achievement for Bugeja, who continues to make her presence felt on the European stage and beyond.
