Defending champion Felix Auger-Aliassime fired 20 aces en route to a 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1 victory over French qualifier Titouan Droguet on Saturday, booking his place in the final of the Open Occitanie in Montpellier, France.

The top-seeded Canadian displayed his trademark power and precision, hitting 47 winners against 29 unforced errors and saving all three break points to overcome Droguet, who was appearing in his first tour-level semifinal. The 20-year-old Frenchman produced 14 aces and 30 winners but struggled with consistency, committing 37 unforced errors.

Auger-Aliassime will now seek his ninth ATP title when he faces France’s Adrian Mannarino in Sunday’s final. The 37-year-old Mannarino came from a set down to defeat American qualifier Martin Damm 1-6, 6-3, 6-4, becoming the oldest finalist in the tournament’s history. Mannarino, a five-time ATP title winner, hit 11 aces and maintained a disciplined performance with 19 winners and just 14 unforced errors.

Damm, meanwhile, displayed his big-hitting game with 23 aces and 41 winners, but 35 unforced errors ultimately prevented him from reaching his first ATP final.

The matchup sets up a compelling clash of styles: Auger-Aliassime’s raw power against Mannarino’s experience and tactical precision, as both players aim to lift the Montpellier trophy.
