Felix Auger-Aliassime defeats Alexander Bublik to reach Rotterdam Open final

Felix Auger-Aliassime produced a commanding performance to defeat Alexander Bublik 6-1, 6-2 in just 54 minutes, booking his place in the Rotterdam Open final.
The world number six fired 25 winners, leaving Bublik struggling to respond, and will now face top seed Alex de Minaur in Sunday’s final.
“It’s tough to not be satisfied,” said Auger-Aliassime. “I was striking the ball well from the beginning, and I never looked back, so it was a great match.”
The Canadian started explosively, breaking Bublik’s opening service game with a mix of aggressive groundstrokes and solid defence. A double fault and a netted forehand from Bublik handed Auger-Aliassime another break in the sixth game, allowing him to serve for the first set at 5-1. He closed out the set in 25 minutes with his second ace, finishing with 13 winners and only six unforced errors.
The second set began more evenly, with both players holding serve until the fifth game, when Auger-Aliassime capitalised on a poorly executed drop shot to break Bublik once more. The Kazakh attempted an underarm serve in his next game, thrilling the Rotterdam crowd, but it failed to halt Auger-Aliassime, who broke again and served out the match.
At match point, Bublik’s backhand drifted into the net, giving Auger-Aliassime the win and a shot at his second Rotterdam title.
Auger-Aliassime will face Alex de Minaur in the final after the Australian overcame Ugo Humbert 6-3, 6-4 in his semi-final.
