The draw for the Round of 16 of the Meridianbet FA Trophy was held on Friday morning, outlining the Road to the Final of one of Maltese football’s most prestigious competitions.

A total of 16 teams were drawn, with the lineup consisting of ten Malta Premier League sides and six clubs from the BOV Challenge League.

The draw produced several intriguing match-ups, including a number of all–Malta Premier League clashes, while the BOV Challenge League teams will be aiming to spring surprises as they chase a place in the latter stages of the competition. With the bracket now confirmed, clubs are fully aware of the route they must navigate in their quest to lift the trophy.

The Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled to be played between 27 and 29 January 2026. The Quarter-Finals will follow on 3 and 4 March 2026, with the Semi-Finals set for 4 April 2026. The Meridianbet FA Trophy will reach its climax with the Final on 24 May 2026.

The draw was conducted by Malta FA Match Operations Manager Stewart Said and former Hibernians FC and Malta national team player Ernest Spiteri Gonzi. Spiteri Gonzi enjoyed a distinguished career in Maltese football, winning three league titles and lifting the FA Trophy on two occasions.
