Eberechi Eze believes his summer move to Arsenal has pushed his game to a new level, with the England international confident that both club and country are set for a memorable campaign.

Currently on duty with the Three Lions, Eze reflected on his development since making the switch from Crystal Palace to the Gunners, a transfer that has seen him competing at the highest level of European football.

“I am confident it will be a great season,” Eze said after scoring in England’s 2–0 victory over Serbia on Thursday. “That’s the aim. That’s what we’re striving towards and working towards every day, club and country. I guess it’s an exciting time.”

The 26-year-old believes playing for Arsenal has accelerated his growth as a player:

“For sure, playing at the highest level helps you get better. You think quicker, you play better. So I feel it’s definitely helped me. From last season, again, growing, coming up more as a complete player.”

Eze also explained that his versatility remains one of his biggest strengths, no matter where he is deployed in Mikel Arteta’s system.

“I see myself as an attacking player. Wherever I am — left, number 10, right, striker, number eight — I’m going to do my job. I’m going to do what the role is,” he said.

“But of course, I’m a creative player. These are the things I want to do: score and assist, create and try and express myself.”

With his confidence high for the season ahead, Arsenal and England fans alike will be hoping Eze continues to shine for both club and country.
