No team can clinch qualification in the upcoming fixtures. Luxembourg are already out of the running for the top two positions that offer either automatic qualification or a playoff spot.

Group B (Switzerland, Kosovo, Slovenia, Sweden)

Switzerland can book their sixth consecutive World Cup appearance with a win over Sweden on Saturday, provided Kosovo fail to beat Slovenia.
A draw would also be enough for the Swiss if Kosovo lose.

Group C (Denmark, Scotland, Greece, Belarus)

Both Denmark and Scotland have already secured the top two spots, meaning no further qualification can be confirmed in this round.

Group D (France, Ukraine, Iceland, Azerbaijan)

France, two-time world champions, will qualify for the 2026 finals with a victory over Ukraine on Thursday.

Group E (Spain, Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria)

Spain, the reigning European champions, will qualify if they defeat Georgia on Saturday and Turkey fail to beat Bulgaria, who are already eliminated.
A draw would also be enough for Spain if Turkey suffer a surprise loss.

Group F (Portugal, Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Armenia)

Portugal — led by Cristiano Ronaldo — will secure their spot with a win over Ireland on Thursday, or even with a draw if Hungary fail to beat Armenia.

Group G (Netherlands, Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Malta)

The Netherlands will confirm qualification with a win against Poland on Friday.
Lithuania and Malta are already out of contention.

Group H (Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Cyprus, San Marino)

Austria can seal top spot if they beat Cyprus on Saturday and Bosnia and Herzegovina fail to win against Romania.

Group I (Norway, Italy, Israel, Estonia, Moldova)

Norway could reach their first World Cup since 1998 with a win over Estonia, as long as Italy fail to beat Moldova on Thursday.
Even if Italy win, Norway’s superior goal difference could still all but guarantee their place.

Group J (Belgium, North Macedonia, Wales, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein)

Belgium will qualify automatically if they win away in Kazakhstan on Saturday, leaving North Macedonia and Wales to fight for the playoff spot.

Group K (England, Albania, Serbia, Latvia, Andorra)

England have already booked their place at the 2026 World Cup.
Albania can secure a playoff berth if they beat Andorra and Serbia lose to England.

Group L (Croatia, Czech Republic, Faroe Islands, Montenegro, Gibraltar)

Croatia, runners-up in 2018, will seal first place if they avoid defeat at home to the Faroe Islands on Friday.
A loss would also eliminate the Faroes from top-two contention.
