Dingli Swallows climbed to second place in the BOV Amateur League II standings after registering an emphatic 4–1 win over St. George’s at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

The Swallows set the tone early, with Mark Cutajar breaking the deadlock on 13 minutes. Their dominance continued as Ronaldinho Daley doubled the advantage on 35 minutes, putting Dingli firmly in control. Just before the interval, Jurgen Gerada added a third goal to give his side a commanding 3–0 lead at the break.

Dingli extended their advantage further on 76 minutes courtesy of an own goal, effectively sealing the contest. St. George’s managed a late consolation through Jaden Camilleri, but the result was never in doubt.

Elsewhere, Rabat Ajax bounced back to winning ways with a 3–1 victory over Sta. Venera Lightnings. Edward Falzon opened the scoring on 18 minutes before Victor Ifeanyi Mbata struck twice, netting on 35 minutes and again just one minute into the second half. Sta. Venera reduced the deficit through Andre Mallia on 54 minutes, but Rabat comfortably saw out the match.

At the top of the table, Kalkara continue to lead the way with 21 points. Dingli Swallows now sit second on 14 points, followed closely by Rabat Ajax on 13. Msida, Mdina and Siggiewi are all level on 12 points, Ta’ Xbiex have 11, St. George’s remain on 10, Marsaskala and Għaxaq have five, while Sta. Venera Lightnings and Gharghur trail on three points apiece.
