Chris Christian Azzopardi clinches back-to-back ICC Enemed Hillclimb titles

The 2025 Island Car Club Malta (ICC) Enemed Hillclimb Championship reached its finale on Sunday, 16 November, as Round 8 unfolded on the demanding Penellu Hill course. The final round delivered intense competition, with Terence Vella taking overall victory on the day.

However, the spotlight belonged to Christian Azzopardi, whose second-place finish was enough to secure the 2025 Hillclimb Championship crown, marking his second title in succession. Matthew Zammit completed the overall podium in third place.

Across the various classes, the following drivers claimed category honours:

  • 4WD: Joseph Calleja
  • RWD & Street: Matthew Camilleri
  • FWD: Gabriel Sammut
  • Classic: Robert Muscat
  • Fastest Female: Martina Caruana
  • +60: Silvio Sciberras
  • –25: Neil Abner
  • Guest Class: Ian Galea

The ICC extended its appreciation to officials, marshals, volunteers, competitors, and sponsors — including Enemed, The Point, MeDirect Bank Malta, England Insurance, Transport Malta, and the Mellieħa Local Council — whose support helped deliver a successful 2025 season.
