Pietà Hotspurs 1–0 Marsa
A late first-half strike earns Pietà their third straight win.
Pietà Hotspurs continued their excellent form at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, edging Marsa 1–0 thanks to an Arthur Felippe finish moments before half-time. The Hotspurs dominated early on, threatening through James Brincat and Luca Gatt before eventually breaking the deadlock.
Marsa responded strongly after the interval, with Dor Jok and Klose Azzopardi Conti going close, but goalkeeper Reeves Cini stood firm. Despite late pressure, Pietà held on for another valuable win as they continue pushing for promotion.
Sirens 2–1 Melita
Sirens hand Melita their first defeat in a tight encounter.
Sirens bounced back to winning ways, defeating previously unbeaten Melita 2–1 and denying them the chance to remain top. Hafiz Akadom opened the scoring from a Thiago Nonato assist, and Trezeguet Zammit doubled the lead with a precise finish on 66 minutes.
Melita replied through Jesus Andres Yepez and pushed hard for an equaliser. Sirens even hit the post through De Bortoli before Melita’s late surge, including goalkeeper Mizzi joining the attack, but the St Paul’s Bay side held firm.
Vittoriosa Stars 2–1 Mtarfa
Vittoriosa dominate but need to work hard for three crucial points.
Vittoriosa Stars returned to winning ways with a deserved 2–1 win over bottom-side Mtarfa. They were denied twice by the woodwork before Arsene Rye Cilia Mumford broke the deadlock with a superb long-range strike.
A towering Emmanuel Godwin header doubled the lead, and although Luke Camilleri pulled one back late on, Vittoriosa remained in control and secured three important points in their battle for safety.
Żurrieq 0–1 Balzan
Balzan extend their impressive run as Pulis fires a second-half winner.
Balzan continued to build momentum with another narrow but important victory, defeating Żurrieq 1–0. The hosts’ hopes took a major blow when Glamour Eziefula was sent off just before the hour.
Five minutes later, Nicholas Pulis struck a brilliant long-range effort to give Balzan the lead. Although Diego Silva missed a late sitter, Balzan’s solid display was enough to keep their promotion push on track.
Fgura United 0–3 Birżebbuġa St Peter’s
Brilliant Sulaiman leads Birżebbuġa to a dominant win.
Birżebbuġa St Peter’s produced one of the weekend’s standout performances, comfortably beating Fgura 3–0. Yusuf Sulaiman was the star of the match with two composed finishes, while Leo Agius added another just before the break.
The Blues controlled proceedings throughout and could have added more, but the win remains an important statement of intent as they strengthen their season’s ambitions.
Mġarr United 3–3 Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia stage incredible late comeback from 3–0 down.
In one of the most dramatic matches of the season so far, Santa Lucia overturned a 3–0 deficit to draw 3–3 with Mġarr at the Centenary Stadium.
Mġarr raced to a commanding lead courtesy of a lightning-fast opener from Cristhyan after just seven seconds—one of the quickest goals ever scored in Malta—followed by another from the same player and a third from Ronaldo Da Cruz.
Santa Lucia roared back in the final 10 minutes through Jean Carlos, Sean Gatt, and finally Masaaki Takahara, who completed the comeback on 88 minutes. The Lucians almost won it in stoppage time, hitting the post, before ending the match with ten men after Azriel Borg was dismissed.
Gudja United 0–1 St Andrews
Late goal decides a tight contest as Gudja suffer first defeat.
St Andrews handed Gudja United their first loss of the campaign thanks to an 87th-minute header from young defender Ben Gaerty. Gudja had earlier been denied a goal that was overturned for a foul, and as they faded in the second half, St Andrews took control and snatched all three points late on.
Swieqi United 3–1 Żebbuġ Rangers
Asante hat-trick powers Swieqi to victory.
Swieqi United dominated Żebbuġ Rangers in a 3–1 win highlighted by a fantastic hat-trick from Emmanuel Asante. The Owls hit the crossbar twice early on before Asante opened the scoring.
After doubling the lead from a rebound and later sealing his treble on the counter in stoppage time, Asante stole the show. Żebbuġ briefly threatened after Daren Falzon converted a penalty, but were unable to halt Swieqi’s momentum.
