Bulls extend winning streak as Jazz shock league-leading pistons

Chicago’s Coby White scored nine of his 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Bulls rallied to a 109-102 victory over Philadelphia on Friday, extending their winning streak to five games.
Reserves Tre Jones and Zach Collins each added 15 points, while White contributed seven rebounds and six assists. Chicago scored the final 10 points of the game to secure the comeback win, improving their record to 15-15.
“It was a grind-it-out win coming off Christmas. It was a little sloppy, but we got the win,” White said.
“There’s no quit in us. To come back and win five straight says a lot about our character and who we are.”
Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 31 points and briefly gave Philadelphia a 102-99 lead with 3:45 remaining. But the Bulls responded with a Jalen Smith dunk and a White three-pointer to take the lead for good. Even after slipping on the court, White assisted Jones on a layup, with Jones adding another layup and a free throw to seal the 109-102 win.
“We kept fighting, stayed together, and everybody contributed down the stretch,” White said.
Tyrese Maxey added 27 points for the 76ers, who previously lost to Chicago after squandering a 24-point lead last month.

The loss ended Detroit’s three-game win streak and trimmed their East lead over New York to 2.5 games. Utah, previously on a four-game losing streak, was led by George with 31 points and Lauri Markkanen with 30. Cunningham recorded 29 points and 17 assists for the Pistons.
