Buġibba Bocci Club win it-Tazza tal-Anġlu
Buġibba Bocci Club have won it-Tazza tal-Anġlu organised by the FK Boċċi, after defeating St Peter’s Żabbar 21–8 in the final played at the Qormi San Bastjan pitch.
The match lasted only one hour and 17 minutes and featured remarkable precision, particularly from Buġibba, who managed to rack up a substantial number of points after the opening rounds.
St Peter’s Żabbar opened a 6–0 lead, but the Buġibba side responded quickly and ended the first half 12–6 ahead. From then on, the team made up of Adrian Bonanno, Godfrey Sciberras, Jurgen Zammit, Laumar Abela, Stephen Zammit and John Borg maintained their accuracy. Although the Żabbar team narrowed the gap, they were unable to keep up with their opponents.
St Peter’s Żabbar were represented by Charles Galea, Conrad Borg, Emm Brignone, Marc Vella Bonnici, Owen Bezzina and Vince Galea.
At the end of the match, Federation president CJ Saliba presented the trophy to the Buġibba captain, John Borg.
