Matchweek 4 of the BOV National Men’s League delivered high-scoring encounters and standout individual performances as the top teams solidified their positions. Hibernians, Starlites Revive, and Luxol Sherries Estates all secured important victories.

The Plaza Depiro 92 – 112 Hibernians

In a high-scoring clash, Hibernians overcame a determined Plaza Depiro side. Depiro, playing without key player Javier Turner, relied heavily on their import duo, with Cornelius pouring in 34 points and Reddish-Rhone adding 31.

However, Hibernians’ balanced attack proved too much to handle. Five different Hibs players finished in double figures. Deonte Jackson led all scorers for his side with 31 points, complemented by a crucial double-double from Ivan Demcesen, sealing a 112-92 win for Hibernians.

Starlites Revive 123 – 69 Athleta AtoZ

Starlites Revive delivered the most dominant performance of the week, cruising to a solid victory over Athleta AtoZ. A strong second-half push ensured the Naxxar side took home the points.

Starlites put on a long-range shooting clinic, combining for an incredible 24 successful 3-pointers. Jackson Threadgill was the star of the show, sinking 10 of those treys en route to a dominant 40-point performance. Wesley Jordan led Athleta’s scoring efforts with 13 points and 5 rebounds.

Luxol Sherries Estates 100 – 83 Valletta Dream

Luxol Sherries Estates avoided an upset against a resilient Valletta Dream side, who came close to securing their first win of the season. Luxol needed a dominant fourth quarter to pull away and clinch the 100-83 victory.

Valletta’s charge was led by Campbell, who topped all scorers in the game with an outstanding 38 points. Murray and Caruana contributed 15 points each for the capital side.

For Luxol, five players reached double-digit scoring, with Nathan Xuereb leading their charge with 30 points to his name, ensuring they maintained their momentum in the league standings.
