Harry Kane believes Bayern Munich have no reason to fear Real Madrid after booking their place in the Champions League quarter-finals with a dominant victory over Atalanta on Wednesday.

Having been an unused substitute in the first leg, Kane made a decisive impact this time, scoring twice in a 4-1 win that sealed an emphatic 10-2 aggregate triumph and set up a showdown with the 15-time European champions.

Speaking to DAZN, the England captain expressed confidence ahead of the clash, insisting his side fears no opponent.

He acknowledged the challenge ahead but emphasized that Bayern’s strong form this season should give them belief, adding that the team must continue performing at their current level.

Kane’s brace took his tally to 50 goals in 66 Champions League appearances, underlining his consistency at the highest level.

The striker has been in sensational form this campaign, scoring 47 goals in 39 matches across all competitions — the most prolific season of his club career so far.

Meanwhile, Bayern sit nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with eight games remaining and have suffered just two defeats in 41 matches in all competitions this season.

In his debut season in Germany, Harry Kane suffered a semi-final defeat over two legs against Real Madrid, who went on to beat Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley.

Now wearing the captain’s armband for Bayern Munich in the Champions League for the first time, Kane suggested the team has learned valuable lessons from that loss and is better prepared to face the Spanish side.

He acknowledged the challenge of facing Madrid, stressing that matches against them always demand resilience and a readiness to battle, as well as the ability to adapt tactically.

Bayern have not overcome the Spanish giants since their 2011–12 semi-final meeting, adding extra motivation ahead of the upcoming clash.

Manager Vincent Kompany also highlighted the stature of both clubs, noting that comparisons over which side is currently stronger are less important than their rich histories.

Kompany expects a high-quality encounter, pointing out that Madrid tend to elevate their performance in big moments, making the tie even more challenging.

He added that the match will be a spectacle for supporters — including neutrals — but emphasized that Bayern’s primary objective remains securing victory.
