Bayern Fire Four Past Brugge to Stay Unstoppable

Bayern Munich stretched their flawless start to the 2025/26 season to a German-record 12 consecutive victories with a dominant 4–0 win over Club Brugge at the Allianz Arena. The result also marked Bayern’s 34th victory in an extraordinary 36-match unbeaten run at home in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) group stage.
Unstoppable across all competitions, Bayern entered the tie as heavy favourites — and wasted little time proving why.
Seventeen-year-old Lennart Karl, making his European debut, produced a moment to remember when he danced through midfield and curled a stunning effort beyond Nordin Jackers to open the scoring. Moments later, Aleksandar Pavlović struck the post from distance before Bayern doubled their lead through Harry Kane, who tapped in Konrad Laimer’s low cross at the far post.
After a frenetic opening, Bayern briefly eased off, though Karl continued to impress, narrowly missing the near post with another dazzling solo run. The hosts soon found their rhythm again, and just past the half-hour mark, Laimer combined neatly with Luis Díaz, who lashed an unstoppable strike in off the underside of the crossbar to make it three.
Club Brugge boss Nicky Hayen made several changes at half-time in an attempt to halt the onslaught, but Bayern remained in complete control. Kane spurned three golden chances to add to his tally — including one heroic goal-line block from Jorne Spileers — before Díaz saw his effort cleared off the line, only for Nicolas Jackson to pounce on the rebound for Bayern’s fourth.
From there, Vincent Kompany’s men managed the game with authority, recording just their fifth clean sheet in 17 UCL fixtures under his tenure.
For Club Brugge, the defeat — their second in succession in Europe — extends their dismal record against German opposition to just one win in 13 attempts. Bayern, meanwhile, sit among the early pacesetters with a perfect record in the group, building on their Der Klassiker triumph and maintaining unstoppable momentum across all fronts.
