Keinan Davis scored a stunning last-minute goal to earn Udinese a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home against SS Lazio in Serie A, extending the Bianconeri’s unbeaten record against Lazio to four matches (W2, D2).

Udinese, who had lost five of their last eight games across all competitions since early November, were fortunate not to fall behind early. Lazio’s Tijjani Noslin tested the hosts with a long-range effort that went narrowly wide.

The home side gradually grew into the game, creating several chances before the half-hour mark. Jakub Piotrowski’s rebound sailed over the bar, and Nicolo Zaniolo’s long-range attempt was comfortably saved by Ivan Provedel. Udinese pressed on, with Nicolo Bertola missing a couple of half-chances in the box. Jurgen Ekkelenkamp also threatened with a close-range header that went wide, while Noslin’s solo effort for Lazio was denied by solid defending.

Lazio, who had kept more clean sheets than any other Serie A side this season (nine), tried to assert themselves in the second half. Matteo Cancellieri and Matías Vecino had speculative efforts that went wide, but clear-cut chances remained scarce. A VAR review also ruled out a penalty for Udinese after Mario Gila’s handball in the box.

Despite the setbacks, Udinese continued to push for a late winner, with Davis, Piotrowski, and Zaniolo all spurning opportunities in quick succession. Lazio took advantage, opening the scoring in the 80th minute when Vecino’s 25-yard strike deflected off Oumar Solet, leaving goalkeeper Daniele Padelli helpless for the Uruguayan’s first goal of the season.

Udinese’s persistence paid off in the dying moments. In stoppage time, Davis produced a sublime curling finish from 18 yards into the bottom corner to snatch a dramatic point for the hosts, salvaging a 1-1 draw.
