The Detroit Pistons pulled off a big win against the Miami Heat in the NBA

The Charlotte Hornets ended the Toronto Raptors’ nine-game winning streak on Saturday, pulling off a 118-111 overtime victory to secure just their sixth win of the season.
Miles Bridges was the star for Charlotte, scoring 16 of his game-high 35 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, rallying the Hornets against a Raptors team that had led by 17 in the opening quarter. Rookie Kon Knueppel contributed 20 points and nailed a crucial three-pointer with 10.1 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
In the extra period, Toronto’s Scottie Barnes opened with a layup, but Bridges tied it with a floater before hitting a three-pointer to give Charlotte their first lead of the game. The Hornets outscored Toronto 14-7 in overtime to seal the win.
“The whole team set the tone,” Bridges said. “As a team, we’re bringing a different type of energy.”
Hornets coach Charles Lee emphasized the importance of team confidence: “The guys just brought it. It was great to see us execute and come away with a win after playing a ton of really close games.”
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons snapped the Miami Heat’s six-game winning streak with a thrilling 138-135 road victory. Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 29 points, four rebounds, and eight assists. For the Heat, Andrew Wiggins scored 31, Norman Powell added 28, and Tyler Herro contributed 24, but Miami couldn’t overcome a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter.

The Milwaukee Bucks ended a seven-game skid by defeating the Brooklyn Nets 116-99. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points in just 19 minutes, adding eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals. In the third quarter, Giannis hit a three-pointer that pushed him past 21,000 career points, becoming the 42nd player—and sixth-youngest—to reach the milestone.
