Chicago Bears rumble for 281 rushing yards in 24-15 Black Friday victory over Eagles

The Chicago Bears steamrolled the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, handing the reigning Super Bowl champions a 24-15 defeat and extending their NFL winning streak to five games.
With their ninth win in 10 outings, the Bears improved to 9-3 and maintained control of the NFC North, staying ahead of the 8-3-1 Green Bay Packers, whom they will face on December 7.
D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai powered Chicago’s ground game, each scoring a rushing touchdown and combining for 255 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 154 yards and a touchdown with one interception as the Bears led wire-to-wire, never trailing at any point in the game.
The victory was a statement, silencing critics who have questioned the Bears’ dominance given that many of their wins have come against sub-.500 teams.
Swift’s three-yard touchdown put Chicago ahead 7-0, and Monangai’s four-yard plunge in the fourth quarter extended the lead to 17-9. Williams then connected with tight end Cole Kmet on a 28-yard touchdown pass, pushing the margin to 24-9 with 6:19 remaining.
Philadelphia’s offense struggled to keep pace. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw two touchdown passes to A.J. Brown, including a four-yard score that brought the Eagles within 24-15 with just over three minutes left. However, a failed two-point conversion kept the deficit intact.
The loss marked a second consecutive setback for the Eagles, who were reeling from a heartbreaking defeat to NFC East rivals Dallas, in which they blew a 21-0 lead.
Late in the third quarter, with the Eagles trailing 10-9, Hurts fumbled on a trademark “tush-push” play. Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright recovered and stripped the ball, setting up a 92-yard, 12-play drive that Monangai capped with his touchdown.
Chicago’s defense was equally impressive, holding the Eagles to just 87 rushing yards, including only 56 from star back Saquon Barkley.
The Bears now look ahead to a pivotal clash with the Packers, while Philadelphia will seek to bounce back from consecutive defeats.
