Luciano Spalletti will be unveiled as the new Juventus head coach today, but uncertainty continues to surround the future of star striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Juve confirmed the dismissal of Igor Tudor on Monday following an eight-game winless streak, prompting swift action from the club’s hierarchy. Spalletti, 66, has been appointed to steady the ship and reignite the team’s faltering campaign.

The former Napoli and Inter Milan boss is expected to address the media for the first time later today, with questions about Vlahovic’s future likely to dominate proceedings.

Vlahovic’s Future a Key Talking Point

Sources close to the club suggest that the managerial change could influence the next steps for the Serbian forward. However, insiders insist Juventus’ primary concern is financial — ensuring they do not lose the 25-year-old for free when his contract expires at the end of the season.

If Spalletti decides Vlahovic remains central to his plans, Juventus will push to reopen contract talks. That would require the striker to accept a reduced salary, something he has so far resisted.

Should no agreement be reached, Vlahovic is expected to explore options elsewhere, with initial discussions already underway ahead of the January transfer window.

Premier League and European Interest

Vlahovic has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, a destination he is believed to be eager to test himself in. While there has been interest, no concrete progress has yet been made toward a deal.

Elsewhere, Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the situation as they search for a long-term No. 9, while AC Milan and Roma are also keeping tabs within Serie A.

Juventus, for their part, would be open to a sale in January should contract negotiations fail to produce an agreement. Much, however, will depend on how Spalletti chooses to use Vlahovic in his opening games and whether the striker can convince the new coach he remains vital to the club’s future.
