Floriana Veterans Extend Lead in David Cluett Memorial Cup

Floriana Veterans strengthened their position at the top of the David Cluett Memorial Cup standings after registering their third consecutive win, maintaining a perfect record with nine points from three matches.
The Greens were in dominant form against Luxol St Andrew’s, cruising to a 7–1 victory. Bojan Kaljevic and Manolito Micallef stole the show with a hat-trick each, while Gilbert Scerri added another to complete the rout. Matthew Schembri netted Luxol’s consolation goal. The match was officiated by Alper Can.
MFPA Move Into Second Place
The Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) climbed to second in the table after a commanding 9–2 triumph over Birkirkara St Helen’s.
Jonathan Bondin and Julian Galea both struck hat-tricks, with Mark Barbara adding a brace and Stanimir Miloskovic also getting on the scoresheet. Mark Gauci and Firas Aboulezz found the net for Birkirkara. Paul Apap was the referee.
Gżira United Bounce Back
After suffering a setback in their previous outing, Gżira United returned to winning ways with an entertaining 6–3 victory over Żurrieq Wolves.
Romeu Romao led the way with two goals, while Kevin Sammut, Ian Zammit, Christopher Uzeh, and Alistair Dalli also scored.
Żurrieq’s goals came from Kevin Vella, Alexander Muscat, and Giuseppe Muscat. Alper Can took charge of the match.
First Win for Hibernians
Hibernians Veterans celebrated their first victory of the season with a 4–1 win against Rabat Veterans.
Gozitan forward Chris Camilleri produced a standout performance with a hat-trick, and Daniel Fodermayer added a fourth for the Paolites. Andy Mangion scored Rabat’s only goal. The referee was Paul Apap.
