Thursday and Friday brought plenty of surprises in the UEFA Conference League as the second round of the group stage unfolded. Here’s one standout stat from each of the 18 matches.

Legia Warsaw snatch late win

14: Strasbourg needed a 79th-minute goal to salvage a 1-1 draw at home against Jagiellonia Bialystok. The Ligue 1 side remain a tough challenge on European soil, undefeated in their last 14 home UEFA club matches (8 wins, 6 draws, 0 losses).

11: Fiorentina made a statement in Austria, defeating Rapid Wien 3-0 thanks to an early goal. La Viola have now kept consecutive clean sheets to start a group stage for the first time in 11 years.

21: Shelbourne heartbreak came via a Paddy Barrett own goal in the dying moments, as Shkendija claimed a historic 1-0 victory. The Macedonian side became the first from their country to win a Conference League group match, while Shelbourne were shut out in Europe for the first time in 21 years.

6: Drita and Omonoia Nicosia shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, each side scoring in the first half. Kosovar champions Drita start their European campaign with two draws, totaling six in UEFA competitions overall.

16: The only goalless match came in Iceland, with Breidablik and KuPS Kuopio playing out a 0-0 draw. Breidablik had a record 16 shots in a group stage match, while KuPS recorded back-to-back draws.

18: AEK Athens demolished Aberdeen 6-0 at home. Aboubakary Koita’s two quick goals set the tone for the Greeks’ largest European victory in 24 years. Aberdeen have now conceded 18 goals in seven consecutive European away matches without a win.

7: AZ Alkmaar bounced back from their opening loss with a 1-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava, thanks to Sven Mijnans’ first-half strike. The win marks AZ’s seventh consecutive home victory in the Conference League.

0: Samsunspor remain perfect after two rounds, defeating Dynamo Kyiv 3-0 at home. Dynamo failed to register a single shot on target in the match.

29: Mainz edged past Zrinjski 1-0, scoring early and holding on despite playing 52 minutes against ten men. Zrinjski have now failed to score in 29 European matches historically.

12: Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps pulled off one of their biggest results ever, beating Lech Poznan 2-1 with a stoppage-time header from Christian Rutjens. The club fired 12 shots in the match.
