Maltese Table Football players set for action in the Table Football Champions League and Europa League

This weekend, several Maltese teams and players will be in action in England as they compete in the Table Football Champions League and Europa League — two of the most prestigious competitions on the international Subbuteo calendar.
Valletta Subbuteo Club, Malta’s reigning champions, will take part in the Champions League, aiming to lift the title for the very first time in their history. The Valletta squad includes Samuel Bartolo, Jurgen Balzan, Derek Conti, Mark Gauci, Kurt Polidano, Christophe Dheur, and Sergio Ramos.
Also representing Malta in the Champions League are Bormla Subbuteo Club, currently ranked number one in the world, who will be seeking to make history of their own. Their team is made up of Charlie Aquilina, George Ebejer, Jean Tabone, Jason Pisani, Bessim Golger, and David Gonzalez.
Meanwhile, Ħ’Attard Subbuteo Club will compete in the Europa League, hoping to write a new chapter in the club’s history. Their squad features Massimo Cremona, Robert Farrugia Randon, Stanley Farrugia Randon, Tristan Fenech, and Mario Fleri Soler.
A number of other Maltese players will also feature with European clubs across both competitions.
In the Champions League, Mario Camilleri and John Zammit will line up with Crimson Horses and ST Stembert respectively. Emanuel and Isaac Camilleri will represent Langton Green SC, while Hansel Mallia joins Fiamme Azzurre.
In the Europa League, Jamie Bonnici and Patrick Pace will be part of SS Lazio TFC.
The participation of Maltese athletes in these major international events has been made possible thanks to the continued support of SportMalta and the Malta Olympic Committee.
