Denilson Cortis proudly represented Malta at the 2025 UET Championship for Apprentices, held on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The prestigious competition took place at the Manacor and Son Pardo racetracks, gathering the best young trotting drivers from across Europe.

Cortis, selected by the Malta Racing Club to compete at this high-level event, showed great determination and skill throughout the championship. Facing strong opposition from Europe’s elite apprentice drivers, he produced a series of solid performances that highlighted his talent and growing experience in international harness racing.

His standout moment came during Saturday’s meeting at Manacor, where he secured an impressive third-place finish, flying the Maltese flag with pride on the European stage.

The final classification for the 2025 UET Apprentices Championship was:

  1. 🥇 Linus Lanoo (Belgium) – 39 points
  2. 🥈 Victor S. Sundgren (Sweden) – 37 points
  3. 🥉 Lukas Strobl (Germany) – 36 points

While Cortis did not finish on the podium, his participation was a valuable opportunity to gain international experience and showcase the quality of Maltese trotting.

The Malta Racing Club praised Cortis for his professionalism, competitive spirit, and excellent representation of Malta.
