Qormi Pinto A clinch Blackball Premier Knock-Out Title in thrilling final
Qormi Pinto A were crowned Blackball Premier Knock-Out champions after a dramatic 13–12 victory over Cospicua Rangers in a nail-biting final played last night at the MBF Arena in Birkirkara.
As with several finals held this week, the match went the distance and was decided by a final-frame decider after the score stood at 10–10. Qormi held a narrow 6–4 lead after the opening session, but Cospicua Rangers refused to give in, keeping the pressure on throughout the contest and ensuring a tense and gripping battle.
In the decisive frame, Lydon Debono held his nerve to pot the winning ball, sparking jubilant celebrations among the Qormi players and supporters.
After the match, the President of the Malta Blackball Federation presented the trophy to team captain Mevrick Zammit, sealing a memorable night for Qormi Pinto A.
