Qormi Pinto A registered an 11-7 victory over Mriehel Billiard House A to move to the top of the standings in the Blackball National Championship. They have played one game more than rivals Cospicua Rangers A, who face Hamrun 147 A today.

The Qormi side has been enjoying a consistent campaign, having secured five wins from nine matches so far.

Meanwhile, in Section A of the Blackball Regional Championship, leaders Qormi Pinto B have collected 16 points from six matches. In the same section, San Gwann Tiki Taka Boys defeated Zebbug St Joseph A 11-7, while Valletta Fossa Boys overcame Hamrun 147 C by an 11-4 scoreline.

In Section B, Hamrun 147 B hold a six-point lead at the top of the table after beating Siggiewi Montekristo A 11-5 in their latest outing.

PL Balzan A and San Gwann Tiki Taka Spartans also registered victories against Selmun Sports Club A (11-9) and Birkirkara Youngsters (11-4) respectively.

In the Community League Section A, PL Floriana and Cospicua Rangers B are level at the top with 31 points each. The Floriana side defeated Mriehel Billiard House B 11-2 to remain in contention for the honours.

Elsewhere, Hamrun 1889 Bar beat Birzebbuga St Peters B 11-7, while Birkirkara Juve earned three important points with an 11-6 victory over Zebbug St. Joseph B.

In Section B, Hamrun 147 D continued their positive run and remain top of the standings with 32 points. In the match of the week, they played out a 10-10 draw against second-placed San Gwann Tiki Taka Buddies.

Birkirkara Bocci defeated Qormi Anici 11-8, Zebbug St. Joseph C secured an 11-6 win over PL Balzan B, while Siggiewi Montekristo B claimed three points after an 11-0 result against Birzebbuga St Peters A.
