The 30th Edition of the Visit Malta International Tour of Malta 2026

The 30th edition of the Visit Malta International Tour of Malta will take place between Friday, 24 April and Sunday, 26 April 2026, attracting a strong field of both Maltese and international cyclists.
Over the years, the Tour has established itself as a key event in Malta’s sporting calendar, providing local cyclists with a valuable opportunity to compete against international participants on home ground. This exposure continues to play an important role in raising the competitive level of Maltese cycling.

The event is being held under the auspices of the Maltese Cycling Federation, with participation from local clubs as well as several international teams. Cyclists from Great Britain, Italy, France, Colombia, and Spain are confirmed to compete, alongside individual international entrants.
Among the competitors is Gemma Mitchell (FTP Racing Team – UK), who will be defending her title in the women’s category following her victory in last year’s edition.
Race Schedule
The Tour will unfold over three stages:
Stage 1 – Friday 24 April
Individual Time Trial in San Ġwann at 10:00 am on a 1.11km circuit. Cyclists will complete 10 laps.
Stage 2 – Saturday 25 April
Road race on the 7.84km Golden Bay – San Martin circuit. Elite riders will complete 8 laps, while Women and Masters will complete 7 laps.
Stage 3 – Sunday 26 April
Final road race on the 5.41km St Paul’s Bypass circuit. Elite riders will complete 12 laps, while Women and Masters will complete 10 laps.
Categories
The competition will feature three main categories:
- Elite (including Juniors)
- Women
- Masters (40+)
Event Headquarters
The official headquarters for the Tour will be the Palazzin Hotel in Qawra, which will host several of the visiting international teams.
