Bayern Munich postpone Bundesliga celebrations amid treble pursuit

Bayern Munich chose to postpone their title celebrations despite clinching their 35th Bundesliga crown on Sunday, as they remain focused on completing a treble this season.
The champions came from behind to secure a 4-2 win over VfB Stuttgart, extending their lead to an unassailable 15 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund with just four matches left to play.
Although Bayern’s title triumph is usually marked by their iconic beer-soaked celebrations, the club opted to keep things low-key, with attention already turning to a crucial German Cup semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Their ambitions extend beyond domestic success, as Bayern have also reached the Champions League semi-finals, where they are set to face reigning holders Paris Saint-Germain.
In the win over Stuttgart, Luis Díaz contributed two assists, while Jamal Musiala added another in the first half. Both players were substituted at the break as part of squad management ahead of a demanding run-in.
Musiala hinted that the celebrations are simply being delayed rather than cancelled, suggesting the team is planning a bigger occasion—likely during their final home game of the season. For now, however, Bayern’s focus remains firmly on the challenges ahead as they pursue an historic treble.
Harry Kane believes Bayern Munich’s title celebrations will feel even more rewarding if they add further silverware, as the club keeps its focus on a potential treble.
The striker, who has already collected two Bundesliga titles and a Supercup since arriving in 2023, said the squad would still mark the achievement—but in a more restrained way compared to last season. With Bayern still competing on multiple fronts, he stressed that a full celebration will have to wait, as attention quickly shifts to upcoming fixtures.
Head coach Vincent Kompany echoed that sentiment before the match, suggesting the team is comfortable delaying celebrations given what remains at stake. After the game, he underlined Bayern’s ambition to secure more trophies, highlighting the belief within the squad as they prepare for a crucial clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich—captaining the side in the absence of Manuel Neuer—praised Bayern’s dominant title-winning campaign, noting the consistency and authority with which they secured the league. However, he made it clear that the Bavarian side are not finished yet, sending a warning to their rivals as they continue chasing further success this season.
