The Maltese national Blackball teams arrived in Gibraltar late last night to take part in the 2026 Nations Cup, which this year will be held at the Europa Sports Complex in Gibraltar.

The Maltese contingent is made up of four teams: the Men’s A and B teams, the Under-23 team, and the Seniors (Over 40) team.

The competition will run until April 19, with the Maltese players set to begin their commitments tomorrow according to the following schedule:

A total of 16 nations will be competing in this year’s Nations Cup. Alongside Malta, participating countries include Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar, the Republic of Ireland, Belgium, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Shetland, Catalonia, Norway, Reunion Island, and Spain.

The Malta Blackball Federation is taking part in these championships with the financial assistance of SportMalta through the International Participation Scheme.
