Bank of Valletta, in collaboration with the Malta Basketball Association, is pleased to announce the winners of the BOV Basketball Players of the Month Awards for March, recognising three outstanding athletes whose performances stood out across the men’s, women’s and amateur competitions.

In the BOV First Division, Trevon Reddish of Depiro has been named Men’s Player of the Month following an impactful series of performances marked by athleticism, efficiency and consistency. Reddish delivered a commanding display against Valletta, scoring 28 points in a 105–83 victory, before continuing his strong form in subsequent fixtures. His standout performance came against Hibernians, where he registered 25 points, 17 rebounds and shot an impressive 53.3% from the field. He added a further 22 points in Depiro’s 78–70 win over Luxol, underlining his importance at both ends of the court. Known for his relentless off‑ball movement, intelligent cuts and decisive finishes, Reddish proved decisive in key moments throughout the month.

In the Women’s Division, Depiro’s Lovely Sonnier has been named BOV Women’s Player of the Month, following a dominant run of all‑round performances. Sonnier opened March with an outstanding display against Valletta on 8 March, recording 25 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists in a comprehensive victory. She followed this with another 25‑point performance against Luxol, adding 4 steals alongside her scoring and playmaking. Her consistency continued against Hibernians, where she posted 23 points and 11 rebounds in a tightly contested encounter, before closing the month with 24 points against Starlites. Sonnier’s ability to influence games through scoring, rebounding and leadership made her a clear standout throughout March.

Luxol’s Stefano Marra won the award for the BOV Amateur League. Marra delivered an outstanding month, scoring 78 points in just 101 minutes, including nine three-pointers, while shooting an efficient 24-of-41 from the field. He consistently troubled defences, drawing 12 fouls, and made a major impact beyond scoring with 27 steals and 78 rebounds, underlining his all-round influence and value to his team.

The winners were presented with a commemorative custom-made trophy by Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Offer at Bank of Valletta as a recognition for their achievement.
