Għaxaq Wolves extended their lead at the top of the MAFA First Division standings to seven points after securing a 2–1 victory over Senglea Gunners in a closely contested encounter.

The match was evenly balanced, with both sides showing determination to claim all three points. Għaxaq took the lead in the 28th minute when Sebastian Nayar found the net with a Sebastian Nayar free-kick, beating Senglea goalkeeper Bitseki.

Senglea responded well after the break and managed to equalise in the 54th minute. Moises Chijoke Nwankwo made a strong run into the box before firing past Għaxaq goalkeeper Lionel Martin.

The decisive moment came when Għaxaq were awarded a penalty after Stanimir Miloskovic was brought down inside the area, a decision that sparked strong protests from Senglea players. Nayar stepped up and converted from the spot, scoring his second goal of the match and securing a dramatic win for his side. Darko Stankovic officiated the game.

Meanwhile, Marsa St Michael claimed an important 1–0 win over San Ġiljan Saints thanks to a late goal from Ayoubah Fona, scored just a minute before full-time. This result lifts Marsa into second place in the standings, with a game in hand. The match was refereed by Jean Pierre Sammut.

Valletta St Paul’s continued their good form with a convincing 3–0 victory over San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy. Nika Glonti opened the scoring in the 10th minute, before Luka Asanideze added a second after the break. Juan Esteban Ortega Zarate sealed the win with a late penalty. Roderick Micallef was the referee.

Second Division

In the MAFA Second Division, Birżebbuġa St Peter’s AFC registered their third consecutive win in the second round with an emphatic 8–0 victory over Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers. Top scorer Oussama Boutayeb led the way with a hat-trick, while Joshua Farrugia, Titi Dumitru, Jeremy Grixti, Ronnie Celeste, and Karim Salman also got on the scoresheet. The match was officiated by Gordon Barbara.

Swieqi United AFC also recorded a dominant 7–0 win against Gudja Wanderers. Philippe Gla Henri and Mohandas Kolathiparambil both scored twice, while Terrance Glen Dominicus, Suhail Manthrammal, and Sobral Dos Santos Leonardo added further goals to secure Swieqi’s first win of the second round. Miguel Francica was the referee.

Attard Edex Kings picked up their first win of the second round with a 6–2 victory over Mqabba Albions. Lucas Carvalho netted a hat-trick, while Felix Roberty added a brace and Abishek Paraparampil contributed another goal. Ersi Balliu and Hagy Semu Maher scored for Mqabba. The match was refereed by Jean Pierre Mifsud.
