Gianluca Chetcuti won the 3rd Trap Selection Shoot of the season.

James Galea Jr finished in second, while Nico Sciberras had to settle for third place overall.

This competition was organised over 2 days and it was held at Malta National Shooting Ranges.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were; SCIBERRAS Nico scored 115/125, CHETCUTI Gianluca hit 110/125 +4 shoot-off, BUGEJA Ryan 110/125 +3 shoot-off, CHETCUTI William 108/125, BUGEJA Emmanuel 106/125 +3 shoot-off and GALEA James Jr hit 106/125 +2 shoot-off.

From the first round of the 2nd day, CHETCUTI William had a deduction of 3 targets according to the ISSF Rule 9.10.2.7 – Make up Round of Absent Athlete.

The result after the final stages was:

This Selection Shoot was the last in its series for the participation at the ISSF World Cup in Tangier, Morocco which is due to be held between the 25 March and 3 April 2026.

Gianluca Chetcuti, William Chetcuti and Ryan Bugeja will be the three Athletes representing Malta in the Trap Event.

The next competition is the Malta Freeport Trophy which will be held on Sunday 08 March 2026 at the Southern Shooting Club.
