In the day’s opening fixture, Gharb Rangers showcased immense resilience to recover from a two-goal deficit and maintain their position at the top of the standings.

Sannat Lions appeared to be in total control early on, spearheaded by Igor Nedeljkovic. The prolific forward opened the scoring in the 27th minute and doubled the lead shortly after the restart (48’). Although Aud-Gustine James Obaje pulled one back for Gharb in the 50th minute, Sannat restored their two-goal cushion just three minutes later through Paul Said, making it 3-1.

However, Gharb Rangers refused to yield. Kenny Hili sparked the comeback in the 62nd minute, and the pressure finally told in the 72nd minute when Anthony Sultana found the equalizer. The 3-3 draw ensures Gharb stays level on points with St. Lawrence Spurs at the summit.

Munxar Falcons FC 0-4 Żebbuġ Rovers FC

The second match of the afternoon was a far more one-sided affair as Żebbuġ Rovers dismantled bottom-of-the-table Munxar Falcons with a clinical 4-0 performance.

The Rovers wasted no time, with Markus Vella breaking the deadlock in the 4th minute. Bernard Camilleri doubled the advantage by the 10th minute, leaving Munxar reeling. The star of the match, Haraan Hajazan Goncalves Barbosa, effectively ended the contest before half-time with a goal in the 42nd minute. Barbosa added his second and the team’s fourth in the 66th minute to seal a comprehensive victory.
