Como run riot against Torino in six-goal statement win

Como continued their impressive Serie A run with a ruthless 6-0 demolition of Torino at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, making it four wins from their last six league outings in a dominant display that saw Anastasios Douvikas register his second brace of 2026.
Having opened the scoring in eight of their previous 10 home league matches, the hosts wasted no time in asserting themselves once again. Cesc Fàbregas’ side surged into a two-goal lead inside the opening 16 minutes, underlining their fast-starting reputation.
Douvikas set the tone inside eight minutes, bursting through the Torino back line, fending off his marker and coolly firing past the helpless goalkeeper. Given that Torino had already conceded a league-high 18 first-half goals prior to kick-off, a second strike always felt inevitable.
It duly arrived on the quarter-hour mark when Martin Baturina picked up possession midway inside the visitors’ half, drove purposefully towards goal and drilled a low effort into the bottom corner to double Como’s advantage.
The hosts remained firmly in control, and after Jesús Rodríguez flashed a shot narrowly over the crossbar shortly before half-time, Como effectively ended the contest with two quickfire goals around the hour mark. Lucas Da Cunha confidently converted from the penalty spot before Douvikas struck again, showing great composure to make it 4-0 from close range.
With Torino reeling, the goals kept coming. Two more arrived within six minutes shortly after the 70-minute mark, both from substitutes. Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn needed just three minutes on the pitch to cut in from the right and curl a dipping shot into the far corner, before Maxence Caqueret put the finishing touch on a one-sided afternoon with a sublime, dipping volley from the edge of the box.
The emphatic victory lifts Como into fifth place in Serie A, moving them above Juventus, who face title-chasing Napoli on Sunday evening. Torino, meanwhile, slump to a fourth successive league defeat and could yet be dragged into a relegation battle, sitting just six points clear of 18th-placed Lecce.
