Qormi Daikin continued their steady progress in the hockey season with a convincing 4–1 win over Floriana Young Stars, confirming their good form with a composed and authoritative performance.

The side coached by Andre Ghio took control of the match early on and had already built a commanding three-goal advantage by the end of the second quarter, effectively putting the contest beyond doubt. Floriana attempted to respond after the break and managed to pull one goal back, but Qormi remained in control, adding a fourth goal to seal the victory and collect all three points.

Youngster Luke Bajada and Dutch striker Tommy Kok both enjoyed productive outings, scoring two goals each for Qormi. Floriana’s lone consolation goal was netted by Thimo Hoft.

The match was officiated by umpires Alessandro Amore and Silvio Peralta.

Meanwhile, in the Hockey 7s competition, GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks claimed a comfortable 5–1 victory over Rabat. David Vella Dingli led the scoring with a brace, while Jayden Cutajar, Nikolai Runza and Stefano Schembri also found the net for the Żurrieq side. Matthew Buhagiar scored Rabat’s only goal of the match.

Umpiring duties for the Hockey 7s encounter were handled by Keith Calleja and Karl Chircop.
