Zebbug Rovers FC secured a vital three points in their pursuit of the promotion spots with a convincing 4–1 victory over Oratory Youths FC on Tuesday, 3 February 2026. The match, held at the Sannat Ground, saw the Rovers solidify their position in the top four of the GFA BOV Gozo Football League 2nd Division.

The Rovers started the brighter of the two sides and took the lead in the 16th minute when Bernard Camilleri found the back of the net. Oratory Youths responded well to the early setback and managed to level matters in the 27th minute through Jamie Xerri.

However, the momentum shifted back to Zebbug just before the halftime whistle. Bernard Camilleri proved to be the protagonist of the first half, netting his second goal in stoppage time (45+1′) to give the Rovers a 2–1 lead at the break.

The second half began disastrously for Oratory Youths as a defensive mishap led to an own goal by Ryan Curmi in the 50th minute, effectively cushioning the Rovers’ lead. Zebbug continued to control the proceedings and put the game beyond reach in the 72nd minute when Jake Sacco struck a fourth goal.

The match was officiated by referee Patrick Falzon. With this win, Zebbug Rovers move to 13 points, sitting just two points behind Sannat Lions with a game in hand over the league leaders.
