Victoria Hotspurs and San Gwann share the spoils
Victoria Hotspurs were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw against San Gwann in their Amateur League 1 encounter played yesterday, leaving both sides level on points after four matches.
San Gwann took the lead in the 36th minute through Matteo Vella, who finished a well-worked move to put his team ahead. Victoria Hotspurs pushed forward in search of an equaliser and eventually found it in the 68th minute when Kurt Borg struck home to make it 1–1.
Despite both teams creating chances late on, neither managed to find a winner, and the points were shared. With this result, Victoria Hotspurs and San Gwann both move to four points from four matches.
Looking ahead, Victoria Hotspurs will now face Qrendi in their next fixture, while San Gwann prepare for a clash against Kirkop United.
