Valletta St Paul’s have climbed to second place in the MAFA First Division after a convincing 5–0 victory over Balluta Barracudas.

This was the capital side’s third win of the season, allowing them to overtake Marsa St Michael, who lost their match against San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy.

Valletta St Paul’s – Balluta Barracudas 5–0

Valletta St Paul’s are now six points behind league leaders Għaxaq Wolves after dominating Balluta Barracudas with a comprehensive performance.

Juan Esteban Ortega Zarate was the standout player for Valletta St Paul’s, scoring twice, while Jorge Enrique Carreno Diaz, Justin Grioli, and Guilherme De Lima also found the net.

Balluta Barracudas remain in a difficult position and are now widely considered relegation candidates after suffering their eighth defeat of the season.

Marsa St Michael – San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy 3–4

San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy produced a dramatic comeback to defeat Marsa St Michael 4–3.

Marsa had been leading 3–1, but San Ġwann turned the match around in the closing stages to claim all three points and move out of the relegation zone.

Joao Coutinho scored twice for Marsa, with Ousmane Sidibe adding another goal.

For San Ġwann, Louis Boulio netted twice, while Martin Marques Costa and Nathan Rochefefeville completed the comeback.

San Ġiljan Saints – Valletta Stars St Dominic 0–2

Abba Auwal was the match-winner for Valletta Stars St Dominic, scoring both goals in a 2–0 win.

His brace strengthened his position at the top of the league’s scoring charts.

San Ġiljan Saints continue to struggle, sitting second from bottom and facing the threat of relegation after many years in the top division.

Naxxar Victorians – Ħamrun Sporting 2–3

Ħamrun Sporting moved joint-top of the Second Division standings alongside Birżebbuġa St Peter’s AFC after a 3–2 win over Naxxar Victorians.

The match was decided late after being level, with Ħamrun scoring through an own goal by Braydon Aquilina, as well as goals from Kyle Formosa and Junior Ohalewe. Naxxar responded through Mohamed Abdelhamid and Gabriel Scerri.

Mqabba Albions – Swieqi United AFC 1–6

Swieqi United continued their strong form with a 6–1 victory over Mqabba Albions.

Suhail Manthrammal scored a hat-trick, while Henri Philippe Gla added two goals and Adigun Azeez Ogundepo also got on the scoresheet. Gildave Brignone scored Mqabba’s consolation goal.

Attard Edex Kings – Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers 6–1

Attard Edex Kings produced a dominant performance, defeating Ta’ Ġiorni Wanderers 6–1.

Brazilian striker Felix Roberty was the star of the match, scoring five goals, while Lucas Carvalho added another. Luke Taliana scored the only goal for Ta’ Ġiorni.
