Valletta FC forward Yuri Messias has been named the LifeStar Best Player for September, following a string of outstanding performances that helped propel the Citizens to the top end of the YoHealth Malta Premier League standings.
Messias played a crucial role in Valletta’s strong run of results during September, in which the team registered four wins and one draw across five matches. The Brazilian attacker netted five goals during the month and was voted Most Valuable Player (MVP) in three of those fixtures.
His contributions included goals in Valletta’s victories over Marsaxlokk (3–1), Floriana (2–0), and Mosta (4–1), before closing the month with a decisive brace in the 2–1 win over Tarxien Rainbows.
The LifeStar Best Player Trophy for September was presented to Messias ahead of Valletta’s clash with Hibernians by LifeStar Insurance CEO Jonathan Camilleri.
This accolade recognizes not only Messias’s prolific scoring form but also his consistency and leadership on the pitch, as Valletta continue their pursuit of league glory.
Congratulations to Yuri Messias for a well-deserved award and an exceptional start to the season.
