UET European Championship for Apprentices 2025

The European Union of Trotting (UET) is set to host the 2025 European Championship for Apprentices, with this year’s prestigious event taking place at the Spanish racetracks of Manacor and Son Pardo on the Balearic island of Mallorca.
Twelve apprentice drivers representing different European nations are arriving in Palma ahead of the two-day competition, which will feature four races per driver on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October.
Representing Malta in this year’s championship is Denilson Cortis, who will proudly wear the Maltese colours on the international stage.
🇲🇹 Malta’s Return to the International Stage
Malta made its comeback in the UET Championship for Apprentices in 2023, when the event was hosted on home soil. That edition remains unforgettable, as Jean Claude Pace achieved an extraordinary victory, bringing international glory to Malta.
In 2024, Nelson Azzopardi represented the nation but faced a challenging outing. This year, hopes are high for Denilson Cortis, a promising young driver who has already accumulated 248 starts since obtaining his licence in 2019, with 16 career wins and around 40 additional podium finishes to his name.
