Two-time champion Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Monte-Carlo Masters, tournament organisers confirmed on Friday.

The 38-year-old Serbian pulled out of the clay-court event after also withdrawing from the ongoing Miami Open due to a right shoulder injury.

Djokovic’s most recent appearance came at Indian Wells earlier this month, where he was eliminated in the round of 16 by defending champion Jack Draper.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion won the Monte-Carlo Masters titles in 2013 and 2015.

American world number seven Taylor Fritz also pulled out of the tournament on Thursday due to injury.

The 2026 edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters is set to take place from April 5 to 12, with world number one Carlos Alcaraz expected to defend his crown.
