Thomas Frank has disclosed that he held meetings with both Manchester United and Chelsea regarding a potential managerial move on the same day, in his upcoming book set to be published Monday.

Titled “Thomas Frank – Dagbog fra Premier League: Historien om Danmarks største trænernavn” (“Thomas Frank – Diary from the Premier League: The Story of Denmark’s Greatest Coaching Name”), the book offers a rare glimpse into Frank’s life, sharing stories that were previously known only to a select few.

Frank reveals that on 24 May last year, he met with Manchester United and Chelsea in separate sessions. “That was the day I had talks with two of the ten biggest clubs in the world. I know I didn’t get either job, but it was still huge. I remember walking through Battersea Park between the two interviews and thinking: ‘Thomas Frank from f***ing Frederiksværk—am I really experiencing this?’” he told TV 2.

In the book, Frank recounts that he first met with Manchester United owner Jim Ratcliffe in his London garage in the morning. Later that day, he sat down with Chelsea representatives at the Mayfair Hotel near Hyde Park, where the club asked him to present his perspectives on the game, leadership, and people management.

Beyond these revelations, Frank’s book covers his dramatic exit from Brøndby, his rise to the Premier League with Brentford, phone conversations with Jürgen Klopp, and his efforts to remain grounded amid growing attention and hype.

Thomas Frank will return to Premier League action with Tottenham next Sunday when they travel to face Arsenal in the classic London derby.
