Spain Suffer Blow as Zubimendi Ruled Out with Knee Issue


Spain national football team have released Martín Zubimendi from their squad due to knee discomfort.
In an official statement, the UEFA Euro 2024 winners explained that the decision was taken as a precaution to avoid any risk and protect the player’s health. They also confirmed that Arsenal’s medical staff have been kept fully informed throughout the process.
Zubimendi had featured as a substitute in Spain’s 3-0 victory over Serbia national football team on Friday.
The 27-year-old will now miss Tuesday’s friendly against Egypt national football team in Barcelona.
Martín Zubimendi has been a vital figure in midfield for Arsenal this season, making 44 appearances across all competitions as the club sit top of the Premier League standings.
