The Los Angeles Rams have locked up linebacker Nate Landman with a three-year, $22.5 million contract extension, announced Saturday. The deal includes $15.6 million in guaranteed money.

Landman, 25, has been a standout this season, recording 91 tackles, four tackles for loss, a league-leading four forced fumbles, four pass deflections, three quarterback hits, and 1.5 sacks through 10 games.

An undrafted free agent out of Colorado, Landman began his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. Over 36 games (23 starts) with Atlanta, he amassed 192 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six forced fumbles, five QB hits, four pass deflections, and one interception.

This season, Landman has earned the nickname “One Punch,” inspired by the hit manga and anime series One Punch Man, in recognition of his knack for big hits and game-changing plays. The team has embraced the moniker, sharing memes celebrating his new identity.

Landman currently leads the Rams in forced fumbles, but he’ll need six more this season to break the franchise record of nine set by Leonard Little in 2002. Achieving two more would also surpass the five forced fumbles posted by future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald in 2017, putting Landman in elite company.
