Ramos nearing deal to buy LaLiga club Sevilla

A group of Sevilla shareholders have reportedly agreed to enter formal negotiations with Sergio Ramos over a potential takeover of the Andalusian club.
The relationship between Ramos and Sevilla runs deep. The veteran defender came through the club’s youth academy at Nervión and spent three seasons with the first team, initially playing as a right-back, before securing a move to Real Madrid. He went on to enjoy a hugely successful 16-year spell with Los Blancos, followed by two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain.
After returning to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán for one campaign, Ramos later joined Monterrey, but his name has never been far from Sevilla. In recent months, he had been linked with a possible return as a player. Now, however, he is being discussed as a potential investor and owner.
According to reports from Cadena SER, a significant portion of Sevilla’s board has agreed to consider an offer believed to be worth around €450 million from the former Spain international.
The same source claims that shareholders have signed a letter of intent committing them to exclusive negotiations with Ramos. This agreement would allow him and his representatives to examine the club’s financial structure and operations in detail.
Ramos is understood to be working alongside business partner Martin Ink, a senior figure at investment firm Five Eleven Capital, who is also involved in the proposed deal.
With the offer now on the table, Ramos’ group is expected to begin a full audit of Sevilla’s finances. The club has experienced both stability and turbulence in recent years, making due diligence a key step before any potential takeover is completed.
