Pulisic leads AC Milan comeback to edge back to Serie A lead

Christian Pulisic scored twice as AC Milan came from 2-0 down to beat Torino 3-2, reclaiming the top spot in Serie A and extending their unbeaten league run to 13 matches (W9).
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri watched from the stands due to a one-match touchline ban following his red card in the previous 1-0 win over Lazio. The start of the game, however, would have been concerning.
Early on, Fikayo Tomori handled the ball while challenging Torino striker Ché Adams in the box, and referee Daniele Chiffi awarded a penalty. Mike Maignan got a hand to Nikola Vlašić’s spot-kick, diving low to his left, but the Croatian still converted to give Torino a 10th-minute lead.
Milan were rattled further just seven minutes later as Vlašić turned provider, finding Duván Zapata, whose powerful strike beat Maignan and made it 2-0. The goal was Zapata’s eighth against Milan and his third in three starts versus them for Torino.
AC Milan needed a spark, and Adrien Rabiot delivered. In the 24th minute, the French midfielder received the ball in a seemingly safe position but unleashed a swerving, dipping shot that left Torino goalkeeper Franco Israel with no chance, pulling Milan back into the game.
The second half began with increased intensity from the visitors, and Torino’s Israel produced a stunning double save 10 minutes after the restart, first parrying a header from Davide Bartesaghi and then blocking Samuele Ricci’s follow-up attempt.
Milan did not have to wait long for the equaliser. Substitute Pulisic made an instant impact, scoring in the 67th minute just seconds after entering the pitch. A cross fell perfectly to him, and he finished calmly from close range for his sixth Serie A goal of the season.
Pulisic then completed the comeback 10 minutes later. Ricci drove down the right and delivered a perfect cross for the U.S. international to fire home, making him the league’s joint-top scorer.
With the victory, Milan return to the summit of Serie A on goal difference above Napoli, while Torino remain 16th, extending their winless league run to six matches (D3).
