Pisa’s Samuele Angori endures unwanted 20-game winless streak

“Winning isn’t important; it’s the only thing that matters.” The famous quote from Giampiero Boniperti underlines how decisive results are in modern football. Yet while every club across Europe’s top five leagues has celebrated at least one victory this season, not every player can say the same.
According to data from BeSoccer Pro, the longest active winless streak among players with at least 20 competitive appearances belongs to Pisa SC defender Samuele Angori.
The 21-year-old left-back has made 25 league appearances this season without tasting victory. In those outings, he has repeatedly left the pitch without three points — an unwanted distinction across Europe’s major competitions.
Angori missed just two matches: the dramatic draw at San Siro against AC Milan and Pisa’s only league win of the campaign, a narrow home triumph over Cremonese. Every other time he has featured, Pisa have failed to win.
Second on the list is Hellas Verona full-back Domagoj Bradarić, who is currently enduring a 23-match winless run in league competition. His last victory this season came at international level with Croatia in October, but at club level the drought remains unbroken.
Completing the podium is Armando Broja, who has gone 20 club matches without a win. Context is important in his case, however, as the striker has enjoyed success with Albania and even picked up a victory on his debut for Burnley, slightly softening the blow of his personal run.
The broader picture is equally troubling for Pisa. The Tuscan side also hold the longest active team winless streak among clubs in Europe’s top five leagues, with 15 consecutive matches without securing maximum points.
In fact, the upper reaches of this unwanted ranking are dominated entirely by Italian sides. Behind Pisa sit Cremonese with 13 games without a win and Verona with 12, highlighting a turbulent spell in Serie A where inconsistency is proving costly both in the table and in squad morale.
