Paymix Pro Ragusa Regatta set to attract strong and varied Fleet

Excitement is building ahead of the upcoming Paymix Pro Ragusa Regatta, organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club and scheduled to take place between May 1 and 3, as crews make their final preparations for one of the highlights of the club’s sailing calendar.
This year’s fleet is already taking shape, featuring an appealing mix of racing and cruising yachts — a combination that has long defined the character of the event. The varied line-up promises competitive racing at the front while maintaining the regatta’s reputation as an enjoyable and accessible experience for all participants.
Entries are being received steadily, with organisers confident of matching or even surpassing last year’s strong turnout.
At the centre of the programme is the traditional offshore passage race from Malta to Ragusa, set to start on the May 1 public holiday. The return passage is scheduled for Sunday, giving crews the perfect opportunity to enjoy a long weekend both on and off the water.
The social programme ashore is also expected to be a major attraction. Activities include a padel tournament, drinks in Ragusa and free time for crews to explore the town, sample local food and wine, and enjoy the Sicilian atmosphere before setting course back to Malta.
Royal Malta Yacht Club Rear Commodore (Sailing) Adrian Gauci Borda thanked title sponsors Paymix Pro for their continued support.
“We are extremely grateful to Paymix Pro for once again backing this weekend. Their support allows us to deliver an event that combines serious offshore racing with a really enjoyable social side, and it is a partnership we value enormously. We are looking forward to a fantastic weekend in Ragusa and a great sail home,” he said.
The race briefing and drinks reception will take place at the Royal Malta Yacht Club on Wednesday, April 29 at 7pm.
Registration is available online through the club’s official website.
