Noa Lang departs Napoli for Galatasaray on loan after six months

Netherlands international Noa Lang has joined Turkish champions Galatasaray on a six-month loan, just six months after moving from PSV to Serie A champions Napoli.
The 26-year-old winger joined Napoli in the summer for a reported €28 million but struggled to make an impact, scoring just once and providing two assists in 18 Serie A appearances.
Lang, a 15-time Dutch international, now heads to Istanbul, with Galatasaray paying a €2 million loan fee. The deal includes a non-mandatory option to make the move permanent for €30 million at the end of the season.
“I am proud, I am very happy right now,” Lang said in a club statement. “I am looking forward to this challenge. It will be a new chapter for me. My teammates have given me a very warm welcome. I’m confident we’ll have a great time together and achieve great things. I’m very happy to be part of this family.”
This marks Lang’s second stint in Turkey after spending time in the youth academy of Istanbul giants Beşiktaş in 2010. Returning to the Turkish city has special significance for him.
“Istanbul is a very special place. When I looked out the hotel window, I saw my old school. It really has a special meaning, and I’m so happy to be home again,” he added.
Lang remains under contract with Napoli until 2030.
