NFL Recap: Allen shines as Bills top Buccaneers, Broncos narrowly defeat Chiefs

Josh Allen delivered a historic performance, throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for three more, leading the Buffalo Bills to a 44-32 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
The reigning NFL MVP completed 19-of-30 passes and rushed six times for 40 yards, helping Buffalo improve to 7-3, just 1.5 games behind AFC East leader New England (9-2). Allen became the first player in NFL history with multiple games featuring three passing and three rushing touchdowns.
“I’m doing my job,” Allen said. “Things weren’t going the way we wanted, we were just trying to find a way to reset. I trusted my feet and focused on finding completions, and we executed better in the second half.”
Allen opened the scoring with a two-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter and threw touchdown passes of 43 yards to Tyrell Shavers, 52 yards to Ty Johnson, and 25 yards to James Cook. Despite Buffalo trailing 32-31 with 13:38 remaining, Allen orchestrated an 81-yard, eight-play drive capped by a five-yard touchdown run, then added a nine-yard touchdown run off an 85-yard march with 2:35 left to secure the win.
“(We) turned the ball over three times and still found a way to win,” Allen said. “That speaks to the resiliency we have in this locker room. We’re going to try to use this momentum moving forward.”
Tampa Bay’s Sean Tucker ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns, but the Buccaneers fell to 6-4.
Elsewhere, the Denver Broncos edged the Kansas City Chiefs 22-19, with Wil Lutz kicking a 35-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. Denver improved to 6-0 at home while Kansas City fell to 5-5. “This was huge,” quarterback Bo Nix said. “A must-win going into a bye week.”
